Steven Pho was a York University student who was diagnosed with leukemia in 2009, at the age of 22. He looked to his sister as a potential stem cell donor, but she was not a match for him. His family did a Freedom Walk in Queen’s Park to raise awareness for the cause of finding a stem cell donor – many members of the community supported them by joining the walk. Unfortunately his family
could not find a donor in time and Steven passed away in 2011 at the age of 24. Please register as a potential stem cell donor now at www.OneMatch.ca to save a life.
