加華幹細胞協會報喜  -- 全國華裔登記捐贈突破1萬人 (pdf)

加華幹細胞協會( OtherHalf)舉辦「夏日拯救生命2010」﹐繼上月在基秦拿/滑鐵盧區，以及於萬錦城市嘉年華舉行登記幹細胞捐贈登記活動，協會再接再勵，上周五及周六於大都會廣場舉行的 Night It Up 2010 夜市設立攤位。兩天之內﹐共有908名華裔登記。整個「夏日拯救生命2010」行動﹐三個場合在兩個月內總共獲得了1,613個新登記。

如果你知道在一年半前運動還未開始的時候﹐全加華人登記還不超過2千人﹐你就可以明白1,613的意義。同時﹐由於這個1,613數字﹐全國華裔登記捐贈突破1萬人﹐總人數兩年增加了4倍有多。…

很感动在短短的时间内有这么多的响应，真诚的感谢大家“一方有难，八方支援”的淳朴的发自内心的帮助。尤其是Grand River Chinese School - 提供场地使得我在一天之内确定了场所，以及Onematch和“加华干细胞协会”提供人员培训并提供“口腔粘膜采集包”，以及KWCG网站的集发邮件。我已经在一天内确定了活动时间和地点。希望有更多人的参与来帮助自己的同胞。我的初定目标是有400 人登记参加，请大家互相通告自己的朋友，以下是本次“救一命出一份力-干细胞捐赠登记”活动的具体通知。

时间：6月12日 星期六 9：45am-2：30pm

地点：Resurrection High School， 455 University Ave.West, Kitchener, 位于fisher Hallman/University, 在 Foodbasic 后面。
