On December 2, 2014, OtherHalf partnered with Usability Matters and Tom Wong to increase awareness of the cause and fundraise for OtherHalf as part of the ‎GivingTuesday Campaign – a national campaign dedicated to celebrate the spirit of giving after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

The campaign was in support of Tom Wong, who has recently been diagnosed with MDS (Myelodyspasic Syndromes), a rare blood cancer. Since his diagnosis, Tom has been campaigning to increase awareness around this shortage in the Chinese Canadian community.

Over 24 hours, each retweet of #ChineseStemCell and #TomStrongWong content on Usability Matter’s Twitter page, Usability Matters agreed to donate $50 to OtherHalf, up to $2,400. By the end of the day, we raised to maximum $2,400 towards the cause! We thank Tom and Usability Matters again for their generous support!
